Two astute and exceptionally well-qualified UK experts at Oxford reviewed the available literature and describe the enormous problems with this so-called “research.”
Their conclusion? Treatments for under 18 gender dysphoric children and adolescents remain largely experimental with significant safety concerns.

The researchers looked for evidence to support the three progressive stages of gender-affirming interventions, from WPATH:
- Stage 1, puberty suppression
- Stage 2, gender-affirming hormones
- Stage 3, gender-affirming surgery
They conclude that the current available evidence does not prove that these practices are safe.
In other words, medical practitioners continue to experiment on gender dysphoric children even though no evidence exists that it is safe or effective.
